Call for Student Volunteers
A successful conference depends on careful planning and a well-organized execution. Student volunteers play a vital role in this process, assisting with various tasks such as welcoming and guiding attendees, handing over microphones and vouchers, helping with conference setup, and ensuring a smooth event experience. Whether before or during the conference, their contributions enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
As a student volunteer, you will be part of the organizing team, gaining first-hand insight into the planning and execution of Eurovis. This is also a great opportunity to connect with other young talents in the visualization community.
We are looking for highly motivated student volunteers who are eager to support this year’s conference.
In exchange for approximately 20 hours of work, student volunteers will receive:
- Free registration for Eurovis (or reimbursement)
- Complimentary lunches, dinners, and free access to social events, including a dedicated welcome dinner on Sunday June 1st, 2025
- Eurovis 2025 Student Volunteer T-shirts.

Student Volunteer Code of Conduct
Thank you for considering being a Student Volunteer! You play a key role in making EuroVis 2025 a success. By volunteering, you agree to follow these guidelines to help create a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for everyone.
1. Inclusiveness & Respect
EuroVis 2025 welcomes researchers from diverse cultural, professional, and scientific backgrounds. As a Student Volunteer, treat all attendees, speakers, organizers, and fellow volunteers with courtesy and respect. Your positive attitude helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
2. Commitment & Reliability
You commit to fulfilling your assigned shifts (approximately 20 hours) and attending required orientation sessions. Arrive on time, stay at your post as expected, and keep breaks reasonable. If you are unable to attend a shift, inform the Student Volunteer Chair or an organizer as soon as possible.
3. Attire & Identification
To be easily recognizable, wear your volunteer t-shirt and ID badge visibly at all times during shifts. Since you may need to wear the t-shirt on multiple days, consider layering it over your regular clothing. A presentable appearance helps maintain a professional and approachable image.
4. Information Security Awareness
Never leave your personal devices unlocked or unattended, and do not plug in unknown USB drives or external devices. If you see an attendee leaving their belongings unsecured, kindly remind them. Report any suspicious activity to an organizer or security staff immediately.
5. Helpfulness & Problem-Solving
As a first point of contact for attendees, be proactive, assist with questions, and provide directions. Keep personal phone use to a minimum and avoid disruptive behavior to remain approachable. If unsure about anything, ask a fellow Student Volunteer, the Student Volunteer Chair, or an organizer for help.
6. Accountability
Your role directly impacts the conference experience. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in a warning or, in serious cases, the loss of your volunteer status and access to the conference.
Your dedication makes a difference—thank you for offering your help!
